Both Newmills and Carland are part of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland. We believe the Bible teaches certain truths about God and man, the world and and the church. These distinctive views can be seen in our preaching, praying and community life and are summarised in the Westminster Confession of Faith. All our Elders subscribe to this as a summary of what they believe.

It’s important to say – you don’t have to know anything about or agree with everything in these standards to be a part of Newmills or Carland! But they do make clear what will be taught in our church, and how our church will be governed by our eldership.
